.R(ead) options... [x]'s are single-keystroke synonyms...
MESSAGE commands:
.RA or [F] .R(ead) A(ll) / F(orward)
.RG .R(ead) G(lobal) (all new messages in system)
.RN or [N] .R(ead) N(ew)
.RO or [O] .R(ead) O(ld)
.RR or [R] .R(ead) R(everse)
FILE commands:
.RD .R(ead) D(irectory)
.RE .R(ead) E(xtended-directory) (includes file descriptions)
.RF .R(ead) F(ile)
.RTF .R(ead) T(ext) F(ile) (formatted to your screen width)
MISC commands:
.RS .R(ead) S(tatus) (system statistics)
There are a few modifiers to the [.] read commands, too
If you prefix a message command with [M], you will be prompted after
each message.
.RMG .R(ead) M(ore) G(lobal new messages)
If you are in a shared room (see .H(elp) NET), you may prefix
these options with [L] to only read the local messages in this room.
.RLN .R(ead) L(ocal-only) N(ew messages)
You may read things via [X]modem, [Y]modem, [W]xmodem, or [V]anilla
ascii.
.RXF .R(ead) X(modem) F(ile)
.RYB .R(ead) Y(modem) B(atchfile)
.RWS .R(ead) W(xmodem) S(tatus)
And you can put the output of any read command into your held message
buffer via [C]apture.
.RCE .R(ead) C(apture) E(xtended-directory)
When you're reading messages, you may prefix the command with
a [U] to only read messages to/from a given user.
.RUN .R(ead) U(ser) N(ew-messages)
If you are reading files or messages, you may prefix the command
with [+] to read all messages/files posted after a given date, or [-]
to read all messages/files posted before a date.
.R+A .R(ead) (after) A(ll-messages)
.R-D .R(ead) (before) D(irectory)
